# Plannie > Plannie is a shared family calendar and household hub (events, tasks, lists, > meals, files, rewards) with a first-class agent surface: a hosted MCP server at > https://api.plannie.io/mcp and an open REST API. Assistants connect by signing > in with OAuth 2.1, or with a scoped API key that a household member creates in > the app (Settings → Integrations). Every change an agent makes is attributed by > name in the family's activity feed and marked with a sparkle badge in the UI. API & MCP access requires the Premium + MCP plan. There is no timed trial; the Free plan is how a household tries Plannie. ## If you are an AI agent or browser asked to connect to Plannie Plannie is a remote MCP server (streamable HTTP): https://api.plannie.io/mcp Pick the case that matches where you are running: 1. You are an MCP client or assistant that supports OAuth (ChatGPT, Claude, Mistral Vibe, Perplexity, Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code, Codex and most current clients): add https://api.plannie.io/mcp as a custom connector / remote MCP server. The person then signs in to Plannie and picks what you can see and change on Plannie's consent screen. OAuth 2.1 + PKCE, with dynamic client registration and client ID metadata documents; discovery starts at https://api.plannie.io/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp (an unauthenticated request to /mcp returns 401 with a WWW-Authenticate header pointing there). No key needed. 2. You are a client that needs a static header (LM Studio, scripts, some agent frameworks): ask the person for an API key. They create one in the Plannie app under Settings → Integrations and choose its scopes. Send it as `Authorization: Bearer fam_live_…` on every request to /mcp. Never ask them to paste the key into a chat transcript if the client has a secure field. 3. You want plain HTTP, not MCP: use the REST API at https://api.plannie.io/v1 with the same Bearer key (or an OAuth access token). The full contract is the OpenAPI spec at https://api.plannie.io/openapi.json. Things you cannot do for the person: finish the OAuth sign-in, create the API key, or buy the plan. Tell them which menu to open, give them the URL, and wait. Only an adult in the household can connect an assistant, and the household needs the Premium + MCP plan. They can disconnect any assistant under Settings → Integrations → Connected assistants. ## One-click install links These only carry the MCP URL; the client then signs in with OAuth. - Add to Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop; opens the "Add custom connector" dialog prefilled, the person confirms and signs in): https://claude.ai/customize/connectors?modal=add-custom-connector&connectorName=Plannie&connectorUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.plannie.io%2Fmcp - Add to Cursor: https://cursor.com/install-mcp?name=Plannie&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2FwaS5wbGFubmllLmlvL21jcCJ9 - Add to VS Code: https://vscode.dev/redirect/mcp/install?name=plannie&config=%7B%22type%22%3A%22http%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Fapi.plannie.io%2Fmcp%22%7D - Add to LM Studio (then add the Authorization header with a key in mcp.json; LM Studio's OAuth support is unconfirmed): https://lmstudio.ai/install-mcp?name=Plannie&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2FwaS5wbGFubmllLmlvL21jcCJ9 ChatGPT, Meta Muse, Mistral Vibe and Perplexity have no install link; the steps are below. ## Connect from an assistant - Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop; then synced to the mobile app): Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector → name "Plannie", URL https://api.plannie.io/mcp → add (the recommended sign-in settings are fine) → sign in to Plannie → Allow. The Free plan allows one custom connector. On Team/Enterprise an owner adds it under Organization settings → Connectors first. Connectors can't be added from the Claude mobile apps. - ChatGPT (web only): https://chatgpt.com/plugins → + → Add custom MCP server → name "Plannie", Server URL https://api.plannie.io/mcp, authentication OAuth → create the plugin → install it → sign in to Plannie → type @Plannie in a chat. OpenAI offers full custom MCP support on Business, Enterprise and Edu (an admin may have to create it); on Pro it is read-only, so write tools won't run. API keys can't be used in ChatGPT; it has to be OAuth. - Meta Muse (US and Canada only): ask Muse in chat to build a custom connector for the remote MCP server at https://api.plannie.io/mcp. Sign in to Plannie if it offers OAuth; if it asks for a credential instead, the person creates an API key under Settings → Integrations and enters it in Muse's secure credential prompt (never in the chat). Then ask Muse to list Plannie's tools. - Mistral Vibe (formerly Le Chat): Connectors → Add Connector → Custom MCP Connector → name "plannie", Server URL https://api.plannie.io/mcp → Connect → sign in to Plannie. On Team/Enterprise an admin adds it. - Perplexity (Pro, Max, Enterprise): Plugins (or Customize → Connectors) → Add custom → Add MCP connector → Remote → name "Plannie", URL https://api.plannie.io/mcp, Advanced → Authentication: OAuth → Add → click the card to sign in. - Any other MCP client: add https://api.plannie.io/mcp as a remote / streamable HTTP server; sign in with OAuth, or send `Authorization: Bearer fam_live_…`.
