Plannie Terms of Service
Plannie Terms of Service
Version 1.0 — [DATE]
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Plannie is provided by Plannie, org. no. [ORG NUMBER], [ADDRESS] ("Plannie", "we", "us"). You can reach us at [CONTACT EMAIL].
These terms are the agreement between you and us for your use of the Plannie app and the services connected to it. By creating an account or using Plannie you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use Plannie.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. It is not part of these terms but you should read it too.
2. The service
Plannie is a family hub: a shared calendar, lists, tasks and chores, meal planning, rewards, a family email inbox, and an AI assistant ("Sidekick"), delivered as a mobile/tablet app connected to our cloud service. You don't receive a copy of the software to run yourself — you use Plannie online through the app for as long as you have an account.
We work to keep Plannie available and secure, but like any online service it can be interrupted — for maintenance, updates, or events outside our control. We will schedule planned maintenance to minimise disruption where we can. This section does not limit any rights you have under mandatory consumer law if the service is faulty.
3. Accounts and your household
Accounts are for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create a Plannie account. Your family's data belongs to a household that you create or join.
Child profiles are not accounts. Adults in a household can create profiles for children (and other family members) so their schedules, chores and rewards appear in Plannie. Child profiles have no login and no direct access to the service. The adult who creates and manages a child profile is responsible for the information added to it.
Roles and invitations. Households have adult and child roles, and one owner. Adults can invite other people by email to join the household with their own account. Only invite people you actually want to see and edit your family's information — everyone in the household can see shared household content.
Keep your login safe. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secret and for activity that happens through your account. Tell us right away at [SUPPORT EMAIL] if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.
4. Free plan and Plannie Plus
Plannie's core — the shared calendar and lists — is free.
Plannie Plus is our paid subscription. It currently includes the Sidekick AI assistant, Rewards, the Meal planner, Google Photos integration, Magic Import, and the Family Inbox (your household's own email address). The exact feature set and pricing are shown in the app and at the point of purchase.
We keep improving Plannie and the feature set will evolve. If we remove or materially degrade a feature you're paying for (other than improvements or changes to your advantage), we will tell you at least 30 days in advance so you can decide whether to keep your subscription.
5. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation
Where you pay. Plannie Plus is purchased through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or our web billing (operated by RevenueCat and processed by Stripe). Your price, billing period and renewal date are always shown before you buy.
Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You cancel through the store where you bought the subscription (App Store or Google Play subscription settings, or your web billing account). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Plus until the end of the period you've paid for.
Refunds. Refunds for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple and Google under their policies. For web billing purchases, contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL].
Your right of withdrawal (ångerrätt). If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. When you buy Plannie Plus you get access immediately; by starting to use Plus features during the 14-day period you consent to immediate delivery, and if you withdraw you may be charged proportionally for the time you had access, as permitted by law. For App Store and Google Play purchases, exercise this right through Apple or Google.
Promo codes and referrals. Promotional codes and referral rewards are subject to the conditions stated when they are offered (such as expiry dates and redemption limits) and have no cash value.
6. Your content
Everything your household puts into Plannie — events, lists, tasks, meals, photos, emails to your Family Inbox — is yours. You are responsible for having the right to add the content you add, and for it being lawful.
You give us only the limited licence we need to run Plannie for you: to store, process, display and transmit your content in order to provide, secure and support the service, and to develop it using information in de-identified, aggregated form that no longer relates to you or your family. We do not use your content for advertising and we do not sell it.
When your content is deleted from Plannie (by you, or when your account or household is deleted), this licence ends, except for copies we must keep to comply with law.
7. AI features
Sidekick and other AI features (such as Magic Import and automatic processing of Family Inbox email) generate suggestions automatically. AI output can be wrong. Check dates, times and other details before you rely on them — Plannie is not responsible for decisions made on the basis of unverified AI output.
Items created by Sidekick, the API or connected agents are marked with an attribution badge so you can always see what was created automatically.
AI features are subject to a monthly fair-use allowance per household. If your household exceeds it, we may temporarily serve AI features with a smaller, faster model until the allowance resets.
8. Acceptable use
When using Plannie you must not:
- use the service for anything unlawful, or add content that infringes others' rights or is illegal;
- misuse your Family Inbox address — for example to send or relay spam, or to register it for services unrelated to your family's use of Plannie;
- upload malware or other harmful code, or attempt to probe, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service or other households' data;
- copy, decompile or reverse-engineer the service, except where law expressly permits it;
- resell the service or provide it to third parties as your own offering.
If we reasonably believe your use puts the service, us, or others at risk, we may limit or suspend access while the issue is resolved. We will be proportionate, and we will inform you as soon as we reasonably can.
9. Third-party services you connect
You can choose to connect Plannie to services from other companies — for example Google Calendar (two-way sync), Outlook calendars and ICS feeds (read-only), Google Photos (picking photos for your screensaver), and voice assistants (Amazon Alexa, Siri). Connecting them is voluntary, their own terms and privacy policies apply to their side of the connection, and you can disconnect them at any time in Plannie's settings.
We are not responsible for third-party services themselves, or for the devices and internet connection you need to use Plannie.
10. Termination, account and data deletion
You can leave at any time. You can delete your account directly in the app (Settings → Delete account & data). If you are the last adult in your household, deleting your account deletes the entire household and all its data.
When a Plus subscription ends, your household keeps Plus data for a 30-day grace period. After that, Plus-only features and data (such as the Family Inbox address and its email) are released, while your calendar and lists continue on the free plan. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
We can terminate too, but not arbitrarily. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms and don't remedy the breach within reasonable time after we've notified you, or where we must do so by law. If we discontinue Plannie entirely, we will give you reasonable advance notice and time to export your data.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your rights under mandatory consumer protection law, including the Swedish Consumer Contracts Act and consumer protection rules on faulty digital services — those rights apply fully.
Beyond what mandatory law requires, we are liable for damage we cause through our fault, but not for losses caused by your breach of these terms, by content you or your household members add, or by third-party services you connect. We are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control (such as power or network outages, strikes, or actions of authorities), for as long as the event prevents performance.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or when the law changes. For material changes we will notify you at least 30 days in advance, by email or in the app. If you don't accept a change, you can cancel your subscription and stop using Plannie before the change takes effect; continuing to use Plannie after that date means you accept the updated terms. The current version is always available where these terms are published.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules of the country where you live.
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at [SUPPORT EMAIL] — most things can be sorted out directly. If we can't agree, you can as a consumer in Sweden turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN, arn.se), whose recommendations we follow. You can also use the EU online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Disputes may also be brought before the courts — including, if you are the consumer, the court of your own domicile.
